• Account information: name, email address, profile picture (from Google / Microsoft OAuth)
• Order information: service selections, sample details, shipping address
• Payment information: processed and stored by Stripe (we do not store card numbers)
• Usage data: language and currency preferences, notification history

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to:

• Provide and operate the MacSeq sequencing service
• Process orders and payments
• Send order status notifications by email
• Deliver sequencing results and reports
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Audit logs are retained for a minimum of 3 years as required by our internal compliance policies. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed in accordance with applicable law (GDPR, Personal Information Protection Act).

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Stripe — for payment processing
• Amazon Web Services (S3) — for secure result file storage and delivery
• Google / Microsoft — solely for OAuth authentication

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights or to delete your account, please contact us or use the account deletion feature within the platform.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS, JWT-based authentication, and access controls. Sequencing result files are delivered via time-limited presigned URLs from Amazon S3.
